“The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.” Says Les Brown in one of his famous motivational speeches.
You must have heard the phrase “I wish we had bought that property back then” - in fact, maybe these words were from your own mouth… There is always a valid excuse: That property is always expensive. But after you decide not to buy it, it gains value beyond the estimations and eventually turns into one of those “if only”.
There is no shortage of excuses in corporations either:
“There is no budget ❗️”
“We do not have enough sources ❗️”
“There is no team to do this ❗️”
“Time is running up ❗️”
“This is not the right time ❗️”
Probably you have heard these phrases often - in fact, maybe these words were from your own mouth…
But the cost of corporations’ “if only” may be heavier than on an economic scale. Commercial and corporate registry archives can be like tombstones of deceased corporations’ never-fulfilled dreams. The remaining balance of postponed actions can bring quite fatal consequences for corporations.
Probably, there are not enough sources for the changes you intend to achieve in your corporation, also now is not the right time. If you are happy with the course of the situation, perfect. Let everything go on as it has worked out until now.
But if you want to change, transform; if not now, when ❓
